As the folly of cap and trade is revealed, hysteria of global warming alarmists intensifies
As Americans awaken to the fact that they have been duped by the harmful economic consequences of the proposed cap and trade legislation, liberal global warming proponents have, in desperation, turned up the volume with their gloom and doom prognostications.
It is tremendously disconcerting to liberals that Mother Nature refuses to cooperate with the dire predictions forecast by their apocalyptic global warming theories. It induces hysteria within their ranks.
This perhaps explains the recent “the sky is falling” rant of hard left Senator Barbara Boxer, who in a fit of pique exclaimed that if the cap and trade bill is not passed, there will be dire results: droughts, floods, fires, loss of species, damage to agriculture, worsening air pollution and more. Would her warnings not have been more temperate had she simply invoked the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse?
Not to be outdone, eco-Messiah, Al Gore, recently likened the fight against global warming to the Allied defeat of the Nazis during the Second World War.
The reality is that tide has turned on the global warming alarmists. Unlike Barbara Boxer, Nancy Pelosi and Al Gore, Americans have no desire to wreck their economy in order to save the planet all in the name of a chimera known as global warming. Not only have Americans cooled towards global warming in terms of their list of priorities, but the religion “science” that underlies the theory has been subject to ridicule and refutation.
Charlatans such as Al Gore, have been exposed as hypocrites as he insist that we radically alter our standard of living while he maintains his carbon-spewing, jet setting, and lavish lifestyle. Although it is never disclosed, Gore stands to profit handsomely from the economic burdens he seeks to impose on the rest of us.
Is it any wonder then that few wish to pursue the path global warming advocates insist we must follow?
